Had errors like this once. Wracked our brains for hours. Eventually realized we had an old version of the code running on some hosts and the new version running alongside it on others. The code had changed enough that the line numbers didn’t make sense anymore.

Having once worked for a US foreign aid contractor and seen the budgets for these projects, I can tell you that most of the money goes to American companies supporting American jobs. The aid is mostly in the form of technical expertise in certain subject areas. Some material aid is distributed, but it’s a pittance compared to the billions that stay right in the US or that go to Americans working overseas. Also, these projects grease the wheels of influence in these countries. It’s a carrot to play nice with the US.

Halting foreign aid as if it is some suspect thing just kind of shows these goons don’t know how it works.

They’re pretty much doing the same thing today in Ukraine.

I can verify that. I am a video game fan, though don’t always follow everything that closely. I remember seeing Wii U for sale and not really understanding what it was. It seemed like just a Wii with a weird controller.

They can try, but it might not work. GTA VI has been in development for like more than a decade and will probably have loads of content. I could see $100 being justified. But not every other AAA game would be the same. Most wouldn’t in fact.

That said, video games have been $50-60 for the last 25 years. If they’d kept up with inflation, they’d be close to $110. So, I get it.
