FWIW, there can definitely be a baseline power level for “services rendered.” Like the warlock already did things for the patron for the power they already have, and any additional power request are conditional on more actions or continued obedience. Depending on the group, some may be excited to help the warlock or at least not mind them having to do patron favors, but it can be unfun for some because the monk isn’t getting the same opportunities/obstacles for their abilities. Just depends on what works for the table IME.
