Not when the author proudly flaunts the fact that every dime spent on her works goes towards eradicating trans people. (Yes, that was a bit hyperbolic, but she absolutely has stated that if you’re enjoying Harry Potter then you’re helping her fight against trans people).
To be fair, I honestly enjoy Harry Potter. However, I don’t want to give people the temptation to buy books or go see movies.
No offense intended, but… Attempting to create Harry Potter themed communities while JK Rowling holds the rights to them, on a social media platform with a huge trans/enby population, doesn’t seem like it would go very far.
As much as I enjoy Harry Potter, fuck Rowling and I will be looking forward to the day she dies or sells the IP.
Actually maybe not? Iirc most “traditional” anesthesia basically knocks you down to the bare minimum of brain activity to remain alive and reliably regain consciousness (which is why being under anesthesia is usually a “blink and you miss it” ordeal, your brain isn’t active enough to be aware that time has passed).
However, if I’m not mistaken, stuff like ketamine or nitrous don’t do that, and sedate you in a manner more similar to natural sleep.
What OP is talking about is actually a real thing. Sovcit stuff, not so much.
OwO;???
It’s a common thing in the US, not unlike birdwatching. My grandfather loved going out and watching for cows. Then he would come home and tell us all about the cows he saw. Did you know there are like, 150 native species of cow in the US? Back in the early days you could just go out and get milk from wild cows. Now, however, they’re overexploited and so you rarely see wild cows.
I love multiverse theory! I also love how a lot of people don’t really understand how finite infinites work in the context of multiverse theory!
There might be a universe in which magic exists. However, there is no universe in which I exist and magic exists. That’s because I was born into a mundane version of the universe, so there are infinite possibilities, but because my existence in a magical universe is 0, being accepted into a witching school is something that’ll never happen for me.
So no, within the context of multiverse theory there is no universe in which multiverse theory doesn’t exist, because that is a paradox and as such, has 0 chance of existing. However, it totally possible that a magical universe does exist (I would say we don’t know enough about the formation of the universe to accurately judge whether or not such a universe could be possible under the right formative circumstances); it’s just that the chances of any of us existing in that universe is 0.
