Summary

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez warned of a “five alarm fire” after two top security officials at USAID were placed on leave for denying classified access to staff from Elon Musk’s staff.

She criticized Musk’s growing influence over Trump’s administration, calling it a national security risk.

Musk, a major Trump donor, claimed USAID is “beyond repair” and should be dismantled.

Ocasio-Cortez also accused billionaires of a “feeding frenzy” to gain Trump’s favor, warning that the American public is being “ripped off.”

I would save the analogy to a fire with the maximum number of alarms for the stuff that will happen later. This one will have just one alarm in retrospect.

No, I agree with her rating. Right now, this is an out of control blaze, but we can still save the surrounding buildings. What you’re referring to is when the chief inspector comes around, accuses the owners of arson, and then shoots them in the street as punishment.
