Once you know how the pieces move, play some chess puzzles to get better at seeing patterns. I used to be decent (joined a chess club in elementary school), but never really “studied” it in any sense, and my nephew ended up beating me at a family reunion, so I decided to get better. I started watching Gotham Chess on YouTube and learned a ton, but honestly, puzzles and just playing is the best for beginners.
When it comes to language, correct is not universal. A phrase or pronunciation may be “correct” in one part of the world but incorrect in another.

Really? As someone who dislikeds both mainstream extremes (I consider myself libertarian), I see a lot more left-leaning content than right-leaning content. I wouldn’t be surprised if >75% of the content I watch comes from a left-leaning creator, nor because I seek it out, but because young people into tech tend to lean left, and I’m into tech.
Yeah, I don’t think I’ve ever seen alt-right nonsense without actively looking for it. Occasionally I’ll get recommended some Joe Rogan or Ben Shapiro nonsense, but that’s about it.
I consider myself libertarian and a lot of my watch time is on Mental Outlaw (cyber security and dark web stuff), Reason (love Remy and Andrew Heaton videos), and John Stossel, but other than that, I largely about political channels. I watch a fair amount of gun content as well.
If I get recommended political stuff, it’s usually pretty mainstream news entertainment, like CNN or Fox News. Even the crypto nonsense is pretty rare, even though I’m pretty crypto-positive (not interested in speculation though, only use as a currency and technical details).
If you’re seeing alt-right crap, it’s probably because you’ve watched a lot of other alt-right crap.

I consider kidnapping people to be “violence.” Knowingly putting someone in jail longer than necessary is kidnapping in my book.
If I can point to a direct victim, it’s “violent.” You cannot be your own victim, so using or possessing drugs should never be a jailable offense. IMO, jail should only be used to protect the public from an offender, it should never be the punishment itself, and as soon as a prisoner is no longer a threat to the public, they should be released. Ross Ulbricht wasn’t a threat to anyone and his platform was completely consensual, so jail makes no sense.
And it’s totally fine to disagree, that’s what I look for in platforms like this.

You mean the stated reason? It’s pretty simple, he’s giving TikTok more time to come to an agreement. He doesn’t want TikTok to go away, he just wants the US government to control it like it does Facebook (i.e. comply with data access requests for things like law enforcement).
But the real reason is just populism. He’d probably embrace universal healthcare if he thought his base would be okay with it and it would spike his approval rating among the left.

I don’t think he meant it as “let’s go round up the Jews age conquer Europe” (or Canada or whatever). He’s very likely on the autism spectrum and likely thought it was funny and just wanted to see how the mass media would react. He acts like a child in so many other contexts (dancing robots at the Tesla event? Seriously?), why not here?

Nope. Each region has a correct way to pronounce crepe. Some pronounce it like they do in France, some have a very different pronunciation.
For example, in Japanese, consonants cannot follow each other, and all words must end with a vowel sound, so the correct pronunciation would be something like kuh-reh-puh. Hawaiian doesn’t have an “r” sound, so it would probably be something like “cu-we-pe” or similar.
Words get localized depending on the rules and customs of the local dialect. If someone from Japan was speaking French in France, they’d pronounce “crepe” like the French there do. That’s how it works.
