I was mainly meaning that there doesn’t really have to be a shady reason their market cap is so high, people are just dumb.

0 reason why Tesla is worth more than like the next 12 biggest auto makers combined.
Market cap isn’t the same as market share, the reason their market cap is so high is because people are bad at investing and can be easily manipulated by a con man.
I highly doubt Trump knows who Tate is, but I suspect the incels on truth social have been cheerleading for his return. Which honestly is more worrying, a bunch of basement dwelling Hitler youths have more influence over the government than elected officials.
Lol, even assuming that things work as planned and we do end up stealing the wealth of another nation…does anyone really think it’s going to be Americans physically extracting the resources?
How much is it going to cost to send skilled workers to a war zone that’s been shelled and mined to all hell for the last 3 years? And if we do end up spending out the nose to pay Americans, how the hell is that going to be profitable? Corporations will barely pay a livable wage to Americans working in America.
There’s a good chance that it’s just a mammalian trait that predates modern humans or house cats. Pretty much all mammals require some extra protection and care when they are young and vulnerable, so it being common among other mammals isn’t exactly surprising.
anarcho-capitalist libertarian utopia?
I hate that edgelord libertarians are trying to rebrand themselves as “anarcho-capatalist”. Anarchy and capitalism are antithetical to one another. It doesn’t have anything to do with anarchy if you aren’t evaluating hierarchy, and capitalism is literally one of the most hierarchical organizational structures possible.
Yeap, a lot of people confuse market capitalization with market share. The two should be somewhat intrinsically tethered in some way, but a lot of investing nowadays is purely speculation based on marketing (aka lying).
Not uh bro, just give them another 5 years and their build quality will improve…
It’s almost like manufacturing vehicles takes skilled labor or something. I’ll be happy when their valuation finally reflects something approaching realistic numbers. Just comparing simple metrics like employee retention should have been enough to tip off investors that Tesla was massively overvalued.
I mean there’s a reason the other major manufacturers haven’t killed off unions completely. You can’t just keep replacing your entire workforce every couple years and expect any kind of quality control.
This is nothing, on hexbear there’s a person pretending to be like half a dozen different Palestinians with different fraudulent GoFundMe. They cook up a new persona like every other week using pictures they scrape from the media and then run it through an AI filter.
I mean, they know it’s not “legal”, they are just testing the boundaries of judicial oversight. They are going to push boundaries and whenever they get any kind of push back they are going to scream about persecution and claim judicial over reach.
The point is to overwhelm the system to the point of breaking and then claim we don’t need to listen to the judicial system, because look how broken it is.
These people aren’t stupid, they’re just fascist who know things like legal systems are social contracts that depend on good will and trust to operate. If they can break that good will and trust them they can rewrite the social contract.
It is dangerous to assume these people are just stupid.
federal judge denied unions’ attempts to block the firings.
This isn’t because the judge is being complicit, but rather they didn’t know if they possess the jurisdiction to do so. They suggested that it be put forward to the NLRB. However, Trumps administration has illegally fired the heads of the NLRB, reducing it below the legal number required for them to make a quorum. So that’s probably going to have to be figured out in a federal court before the NLRB does anything.
Everything is being dismantled because of our democracies inability to manage procedural doctrine. Death by paperwork is such a drab way for democracy to whimper out of existence. At least the Nazi had the Reichstag fire as a symbolic death of democracy. While were getting taken out because too many baby boomers judges are being too lackadaisical to do their jobs.
Yes, and it’s not including the initial invasion and occupation from 2014-2022. However, these types of people see any kind of logical assumption as outright manipulation and opportunities to validate their “alternative facts”.
Russia is not israel, they don’t attack civilians (despite what similar liars to yourself will claim) and civilian infrastructure and life goes on.
"As of 31 August, the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMMU) had verified that conflict-related violence had killed 11,743 civilians and injured 24,614 in Ukraine since 24 February 2022.
During the reporting period, Russian armed forces continued to target energy infrastructure across Ukraine, affecting essential services and deepening concerns about the plight of the civilian population with winter approaching."
Honesty seems to be a problematic concept for the people supporting the Russian invasion of Ukraine…
Also, I am surprised you even pretend to care about constitutions considering Putin had to rewrite Russias to stay in power past 2024.
Almost as much of a waste of time as creating alt accounts solely to defend Russian geopolitics?
Honestly, what is the point of pretending to be a leftist while defending the Russian oligarchs? I get critical of the American oligarchs, but what is the point of cheerleading an even more hierarchical and violent form of capitalist imperialism?
Only if you want to show everyone you’re a good boy!
It’s also not really explaining much either. They don’t give examples of other elections to compare it too, and their own methodology is lackluster.
They are basically saying that after approx 250 votes trump started to pull ahead, which is to be expected as a lot of early Dem voters were mail ins.
To be honest it just seems like they are trying to purposely confuse normal phenomena with statistical diction, and alluding to claims without providing context.
Usually when making claims this grand you would also want evidence to match it. You’d also want to provide an example to compare it to previous elections utilizing the same methodology.
What if there was statistical evidence of probable tampering?
All of the allegations listed on this site have fairly logical explanations when given context.
Republicans pushed against mail in ballots hard, so it makes sense that Harris would do better with mail ins and trump would do better with early voting. It also makes sense that trump voters mainly cared about the presidential election compared to Harris voters. It also makes sense that Harris underperformed as Democrats didn’t get to participate in a primary. Basically it makes sense for there to be abnormalities in an abnormal election, that doesn’t mean there’s “statistical evidence of probable tampering”.
Plus Trump, in his rambling, said something that [heavily implies tampering with vote counting machines
Right… But this means that we would be questioning trump’s honesty based on assuming that trump is being honest on this particular subject. He’s a troll who likes to stir the shit and make people assume he’s more competent than he really is, the same as musk.
It does not behoove progressives to question the reliability of elections without real evidence. Having people question the reliability of elections only serves conservative agenda of making it harder for people to vote.
Yeah… Unless things have significantly changed since I lived in Dallas 10 years ago, I’d say this is just dpd not wanting to add additional work on their plate. Getting them to respond to anything short of murder was like pulling teeth.
Actually, when a plane feels safe and trusts its pilots it will show you its belly in a display of vulnerability to communicate its feelings.
I don’t think it’s solely because of retail investors, there are a lot of venture capital firms that are also really stupid about where they keep their money, as well as foreign investors like the Saudi.
Imo when the market overcooks right before a recession a lot of capital holders don’t really know what to do with their money and so they end up investing in things like Tesla, the next tallest building in the world, or weird projects like Neom.
