There’s a story/cinematic difficulty, but I haven’t tested it out. The standard difficulty is a challenge, but in my experience it felt fair. I’ve never played a Soulslike so I don’t have a point of comparison on that front lol.

Prey (2017), killer immersive sim. Reminiscent of System Shock 2 mainly.
If you enjoy the combat, Sifu takes that/the Arkham Batman style to a new level. Definitely has a crazy high kill count, but the story is all about revenge so there’s not too much ludonarrative dissonance.
But why would the poster want to date General Grievous? He’s successful and has a stable job, sure, but he’s a bit obsessive. Especially about the lightsaber collection. I think he might already be in a relationship with Obi-wan anyway…
A woman worth dating will value a kind, respectful man over one with the best looks or height. I’d honestly see a woman valuing height highly as a red flag lol. Keep your stick on the ice, even if it doesn’t work out you can learn something from every relationship/attempt.
And as a bonus, you might later ask out someone she knows. If that other gal asks her about you, she’ll have a good report because you respected boundaries she put up.
There was so much other controversy with that game that I didn’t even hear about the AI. Gross.
Manny Bothans and Dustin Echoes, the two pillars of Star Wars and Halo lore
It’s not just about dopamine/cope either. Knowing that people saw the state of the world they lived in, and came together to make good art anyway, is good for the soul. It reminds us that there is still good in the world worth fighting for.
It’s easy to forget that when algorithms show us the worst and stupidest of humanity every day for peak engagement.
Does it work if you install the PCSX2 flatpak from Software Manager? I haven’t tried it myself yet, but this page may help and has more detail about the installation methods:
If you found HL1 dated, there’s a good remake in source: https://store.steampowered.com/app/362890/Black_Mesa/
Even as a purist (HL1 is my favorite FPS period), I love how Black Mesa handles the source material. It’s on sale for $5 right now too. Besides Valve’s other games, check out F.E.A.R (2005), Doom series and the Bungie Halo games.
Fair enough. There’s always the two-hour grace period for refunds. The first “real” level after the tutorial eases you in pretty well, so if the gameplay doesn’t click there I’d take it as a sign. It’s a unique game that punishes hard for mistakes, so it won’t click with everybody.
