From either a business or government/geopolitical standpoint, what is the benefit of them making it open source?

This really brings it home. Motherfucker went out of his way twice to display his white supremacy.

When my Dad died young, 60 or so, the so many “sympathy cards” that we had to read after the funeral emphasized this. I was at such a low point - we were very close and his death was an absolute nightmare - yet it was as if they were comforting themselves by letting me know he was with Jesus now.

And it just made the entire situation somehow worse and more demented.

During the discussion, some Republicans asked whether they could give McHenry more power “by acclamation” or whether they needed to take an internal vote in the room.

It’s a different idea from the formal resolution proposed by Rep. Dave Joyce, R-Ohio, which would require a floor vote to empower McHenry to move legislation like spending bills and aid packages for Ukraine and Israel.

It’s cute that they’re at least trying to figure out democracy amongst themselves, I guess.
