Tbf (and balanced), he was indeed charged, but in Maryland. The prosecutors in the NY case were just smarter and knew it wouldn’t hold up. I agree it reeks of entrapment, but Ross did still go along with it like the dangerous idiot he is.

This leaves out the modern extension of this where pizza meets the requirements of a vegetable due to it containing 2 tablespoons of tomato paste as specified in the “Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act of 2012”, previously the “Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010”.

Absolutely, he is legally innocent of this, as the charges were indeed dropped.

However, it’s all publicly documented. You can read the DMs where all of this occurred if you’d like. It includes the transaction IDs and wallets in which this all occurred. The paper trail is all there. This happened, whether legally recognized or not. I do completely agree with you that he is legally innocent, but the evidence that this happened is overwhelming.

The reason he wasn’t found guilty of this specifically is because the prosecution, in the case in which he was found guilty, didn’t even include this in his charges, but instead used it as an example of his character in relation to the charges he did receive. Considering there was no actual murder that took place, they probably felt they had significantly better odds with other charges that they could easily get a guilty verdict (and significant sentence) with. This isn’t uncommon procedure.

Meanwhile, the Maryland case in which he was being charged in relation to this, was dropped once he’d already been found guilty in NY and sentenced to two life sentences.

AI have no concepts, period. It doesn’t know what a person is, or what the laws are. It generates word salad that approximates human statements.

This isn’t quite accurate. LLMs semantically group words and have a sort of internal model of concepts and how different words relate to them. It’s still not that of a human and certainly does not “understand” what it’s saying.

I get that everyone’s on the “shit on AI train”, and it’s rightfully deserved in many ways, but you’re grossly oversimplifying. That said, way too many people do give LLMs too much credit and think it’s effectively magic. Reality, as is usually the case, is somewhere in the middle.
