It might be the correct deal, but it worries me. I can only imagine the people saying he wants to be a dictator are those that want a Putin style election to install another puppet. I know they have to have elections at some point - it’s just a worry!

Yep, it’s just evil to their own staff. It seems every time I have to call some call centre these days, when I finally get to a human the conversation starts something like “I’ve just spent 40 fucking minutes trying to get to talk to a person and I’m really pissed off. I know that’s not your fault and I apologise in advance if I struggle to contain my frustrations while we talk. Now…”

Facts, by definition, are devoid of context. They don’t change depending on who states them! How can you have a reasonable conversation about anything at all if you can’t agree on some baseline facts. That’s how the fascists operate - everything the orange turd says is a fact, so you can’t reason with them.
Yes, words have impact. I hope that words like “no more elections” inspire people to action against what is happening. I don’t see it as defeatist at all.
The way I read it, the entrepreneur is Bezos - he has his own planes etc. and does not need USPS. You have to buy Chinese stuff from him now. (I have not researched the subject in depth - this is just my take on the headline)
I’ve seen multiple videos of people walking around interviewing people that voted for him and asking why. Lots of them stated that Biden arming Israel against Gaza was a major concern for them. None of the interviewers dug into what they hoped would change but it was clear they expected Trump to improve the situation for the people of Gaza. Now I’ve got no idea why they thought that - I certainly never saw anything to make me think that - but lots of people seemed have got that message.
It’s not just that he’s much worse it’s that some people somehow expected him to be better?!?

It blows my mind that they need to do this with physical phones. I would have thought they could virtualise/emulate everything needed.
I also live in an area with frequent power disruption. We have a backup generator. It is more than enough to power the electronics in our propane gas range, but nowhere near enough to power an electric range.
