Great to see the bot back!
Hello! That’s my main mbin account, my alt is @Fitik, I also have a furry/personal account at @fitik
I’m just a regular person from Israel🇮🇱, a queer, and a #Fediverse enthusiast! I’m a liberal
I don’t post much stuff, but when I do I usually post about #tech because I’ve mostly given up on trying to argue on there
Great to see the bot back!
I’m Jewish myself and I completely agree with you… Sadly it exists on a pretty much every social media, but BlueSky has a unique feature called sharable block lists/mute lists, I believe they call it “stacked moderation”, I’ve subscribed to a few of those and it has blocked 90% of antisemites/terrorism sympathisers, I kinda wish some Fedi platform would have a similar feature as well
I feel like it would make MBin look like a forum software, and it’s more of a content aggregator
I think “Lemmy Federate” fixed the main problem small instances have (Not federating as much communities as the big ones), at least for those instances that have it enabled. Why do you think the biggest instances give the best experience?
I can agree with the last part tho, would be cool if there was an app that would do that
Check the microblogging view
Duscuit seems to have around 200 weekly active users, so… Not really
It seems to be focused specifically on Netflix, meanwhile this one is more generic
I’ve discovered !netflix@metacritics.zone , !scp@lemmy.world , !creepypasta@lemmy.world , !buyeuropean@feddit.uk around last week and additionally I’ve discovered https://forum.wedistribute.org/ , so I’ve subscribed to a few categories from it as well
By the way: You can follow this Peertube channel directly from Lemmy - !podcast@video.fedihost.co
Hmm, I thought it was open-weights only, but I think you might be right, I’ve checked HuggingChat and it’s one of the options, so you’re probably right. And yes, it’s better than OpenAI
DeepSeek isn’t Open source tho
On the other hand the Friendica Wikipedia article seems much more detailed, even tho I’m sure it could be expanded as well.
I would use the argument that you can’t access content on Discord unless you have a discord account, on the other hand pretty much all content on Reddit (And Lemmy etc) is available without registration
Oh, and that it’s much more focused on chats than on forum-style posts
That’s interesting, I assumed so because:
But seems like your opinion actually something consistent and not trolling, in that case I respect your opinion, even if I personally don’t agree with your philosophy I can understand it. It’s good that in the Fediverse you can choose an instance that aligns with your philosophy (Like lemm.ee) and I can choose the one that aligns with mine.
The least obvious Hexbear’s user alt:
Yee, there are multiple Piefed instances, for example there’s also https://feddit.online/ that I know about
But fedia one is the official one I’m pretty sure.
Why not just try all of them out and see which one you like the most? I personally like Mbin the most, but you may like another one. I don’t think anything is stopping you from creating test accounts (And you don’t need extensive time, I imagine it would take a few hours at most)
