    Maybe flying is no longer a safe option in the US anymore, due to changes by the new government?

      This is a ground controller issue. ATC passes control to ground controller for taxiing air crafts. But yes more airport controller staff is needed in general.

      I’m just waiting for them to install autonomous piloting so no one has to pay for pilots or ATC

    I’m going to be traveling to Chicago later this year. We chose the railway instead of the air. Things like this reinforce exactly why I made that decision.

      If you believe this article, commercial airlines are much much safer than passenger rail. There was another article that I don’t feel like citing that suggested that, in the US, trains didn’t even have a carbon advantage.

        Listen homie. My car has over 200k miles on it and I don’t want to take it halfway across the country and back. Renting a car seems wasteful in lots of ways, Boeing engineers don’t even trust their own planes enough to recommend flying on them, I’m grasping for straws here. Lie to me. The train is gonna be awesome, and we’re gonna see the parts of America most people miss!
