Previously they did reach out privately (like when LTT plagiarised GN) but after Linus said something negative about GN publicly unwarranted, they had a fallout and everything is done publicly now. Seems fair to me and he always reaches out to other companies first before making a report from what I can see. I don’t remember what the drama was about but something to do with testing a product when LTT made a mistake and got too defensive when they got called out.

Idk his article had all the screenshots to prove the points from what I can see so I would rather take his word than someone who doesn’t mind harassment in their workplace.

Edit: I am using KDE plasma so not the full screen start menu like in windows but the small box on bottom left with about 15 icons that I regularly use.

I am the opposite and I absolutely hate it when I have to work on someone’s laptop with cluttered desktop and folders. Mine only has a taskbar at bottom and clock widget at bottom right corner. All temporary files goes to downloads or to organised directories. What’s the point of having a nice wallpaper if you can’t enjoy it.

I mean they are known to be invasive, even trying to ban VPNs so don’t be too surprised lol

From what I heard passkeys need google services framework for some reason. Don’t know technical reasons behind it but I would assume its bs given its google.
